Contested deletion
editPage was re-written and updated to link the reference. Information pasted from the Air Force Web was removed and re-written. Thank you for your assistance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kperson4GC (talk • contribs) 18:59, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because the biography is for a public official of the United States Department of the Air Force and is accessible on a public website managed by the United States Department of the Air Force.
- Unless the information has been released under the appropriate licence then the information can still not just be copied to Wikipedia. It will need to have been released under Public Domain or one of the other releases under WP:COPYOTHERS. Amortias (T)(C) 18:08, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Amortias: For future reference, the original bio (like all works of the U.S. Federal government) is {{PD-USGov}}. See Copyright law of the United States of America#Works by the federal government for details. The original bio was unencyclopedic but not a copyright violation. —teb728 t c 21:38, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
- Fair enough didn't see that anywhere on the exemptions list. Amortias (T)(C) 21:39, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
