Feasible
editGEOSS is The Global Earth Observing System of Systems. Is it a feasible global undertaking? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Karhu (talk • contribs) 17:16, 11 March 2005
Article structure
editThe article needs an introduction before the "Background" section. Specific US aspects are too important in the current article (neutrality). GEOSS is by nature an international project. universimmedia 22:12, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Practical usefulness to general population
editI added this section:
At present, GEONETCast seems still in its infancy, yet some tools have allready been worked out. The GEONETCast toolbox has been made available and contains tools to access some radar altimetry, vegetation, satellite prediction and maritime information. [1] Other useful information available trough GEONETCast is vegetation and desert locust information provided under the DevCoCast project, which is a subproject of GEONETCast.[2][3]
The section is added to provide some insight in what exactly the merits are of the project for the general population.
