Certainly not a disambiguation page. This is the only Glenn Hughes that is wholly notable (less that embarrassing excuse for music with those tossers in 1992 where he featured as a guest vocalist), anyone else will have to be directed somehow. Evlekis (Евлекис) 19:14, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Slip of the Tongue

I thought (as per the blooklet included with the CD) that it was Rudy Sarzo that played on Whitesnake's Slip of the Tongue album. As a matter of fact, I saw a poster from Slip of the Tongue once with Coverdale, Steve Vai, Aldridge and Rudy Sarzo in it -- but no Glenn Hughes. --Pinnecco 12:05, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Glenn Hughes never played with Whitesnake. Rumour has it that he and David Coverdale absolutely hate each other, a situation that appears to have been extant since they were both in Deep Purple. Apparently, they never got along.--MarshallStack 22:54, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

There is no truth to the rumour (that I've never heard) that Glenn and David dislike oneanother. They meet at least once a year and are quite good friends, Glenn has never spoken ill of David in public and vice-versa. Glenn did indeed to backing vocals on SOTT, however he's pretty low down in the mix.

Very few live dates with Black Sabbath

Hughes played very few live dates with Black Sabbath in early 1986. Apparently he played a disastrous gig in Detroit where he literally froze onstage (due to stage fright, going onstage without a bass, or drugs, depending on who you talk to) and much of the vocals were "seconded" by then-keyboardist Geoff Nicholls. I had tickets to see this lineup in Kalamazoo, Michigan but it was around this time that Tony Iommi fired Hughes and the date was not rescheduled.

Also the one "Black Sabbath" album where he sang is widely regarded as a Tony Iommi solo album, with the Sabbath label stuck on it by the record company. That's exactly true, I have seen an interview with Tony Iommi on The Black Sabbath Story either volume 1 or 2 many times, I have them on VHS tape and can't watch them anymore, where Iommi explicitly states that the record company "pulled the contract on him" and made him put it out as a Black Sabbath album. He was contracted to do a certain number of Black Sabbath albums, or something similar to that, Iommi even stated that he was very much against such a thing, as it was his solo album, not Black Sabbath, but in the end the record company won out due to legal obligations. So Iommis' story of the situation matches what Glenn Hughes always stated. 5.56.31.175 (talk) 18:34, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

"Phenomena" availability?

Have either of the "Phenomena" projects been re-released on CD? I never heard the second one, which also featured Glenn's Sabbath replacement Ray Gillen and (I think) Asia bassist/vocalist John Wetton, but I had the first one in 1985 and really liked it.

Penkridge: surname or town?

By reading Hughes biographies on his official sites and even English Wikipedia page on Cannock, it seems Cannock is the town he was born in. Old version of English Wikipedia stated the same and indicated Penkridge as Hughes real surname (but I haven't heard about it in other places). French Wikipedia states Penkridge is Hughes real surname. Who knows the truth? --Furyo Mori 22:17, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

What is going on?

One of the most distinguished musicians around has a measle page where it is written like a post-mortum blessing and his biography is over the edge, which i had to dual up and all of the sudden his talk page is total joke? What is going on? Why Project editors aren't working here?
