As this article is about Gladstone Porteous, the section headed China Candid is not relevant, although it may be appropriate as part of a more general article on missionary work in China (or in a specific article about Williams). I propose to delete it. Any comments, anyone? – Agendum (talk) 22:37, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
It's there to prevent confusion reappearing in the article. This is a well known book - and the only one to recount elements of Porteus' life - the only thing wrong is the name became garbled. Given the book is out there (in two versions) and widely referred to, this paragraph will direct anyone searching for this "John Williams" to the correct name, Gladstone Porteus. Sorry, In Ictu (if I may call you that) – having read the paragraph properly (which I clearly hadn't before) I see the connection with Porteous, which wasn't immediately obvious before. Yes, by all means let's keep it in. – Agendum (talk) 21:52, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
