As a musician, I'd like to add that gig bag can also refer to a small bag, as gym bag or the like, in which a musician carries sundry items such as mic/guitar cables, electronic effects pedals, microphones, small hand percussion etc. Thomas Bruce Bishop (talk) 04:36, 23 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I agree that the term is not limited to soft guitar bags; drummers and percussionists (myself included) often refer to the small bag that we keep sticks, brushes, et cetera in, as a gig bag. Tcxspears (talk) 16:01, 6 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

I've tried for the life of me and I cannot find any references that we can add to gig bags... I can find a million companies that manufacture and/or sell them, and there are plenty of web and journal sources discussing and/or advertising gig bags, but I can't find any definitive definition of gig bags. Does anyone have any ideas how we can address this? Can we just add a Notes section and put links to retailers?? Tcxspears (talk) 16:18, 6 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
