Abbreviations
editIf someone with a better knowledge of the abbreviations in the Jewish Encyclopedia could expand the identities of the references in the text that currently state "Hul.", "Gen. R.", "Eccl. R." and "Ned.", I would be grateful. --User talk:FDuffy 18:15, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

editA brief explanation of the tags that I added. Refimprov should be obvious. While the article incorporates text from the quite frankly outdated scholarship in the Jewish Encyclopedia, and thus it ostensibly qualifies as a tertiary source. As should be obvious, they didn't include any of the references that would typically (though not always) appear in the footnotes of the encyclopaedia entries; this isn't surprising, as most electronic versions of encyclopaedias from around the turn of the last century don't typically include these in the e-texts. Because of the low quality paraphrased source, I've marked it as "unreferenced", as opposed to "one source", to bring a bit of urgency to it. There has been a fair amount of scholarship on deities mentioned in the Hebrew Bible since the 1970s, so it shouldn't be overly difficult to expand the content with new references (and remove any close paraphrasing of the Jewish Encyclopedia).
