Fiber Reinforced Composites
editFRCs are a vast category of composites. See: http://www.efunda.com/formulae/solid_mechanics/composites/comp_FRC_intro.cfm for some basics. This article is written entirely about the products from http://www.fibersit.com/ Fibersit. --SVTCobra (talk) 22:08, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Will improve with other composites in mind... Please add on to the article. betw. I have not even mention the word fibersit in the article as not to appear like a commercial viewpoint. where you get the information? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.15.95.80 (talk) 08:59, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- because both external links are about Fibersit and the pics from Fibersit's website. --SVTCobra (talk) 10:46, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
When you look at the proterties table, you can see that this material descibed has nothing to do with Fiber Reinforced Composites. For example strength properties are even worse than non-reinforced polypropylene has! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.141.144.30 (talk) 06:21, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
If this article means Natural fibre reinforced materials, Fibre reinforced Composites is much wider group of different materials (e.g. carbon fibre, glass fibre, carbon nanotube reinforced composites, mineral reinforcements, cellulose fibre reinforcements, deifferent matrices: thermoplastic matrix, thermoset matrix, starch matrix etc...).
There are much better performing Natural Fibre REINFORCED materials on the market. Materials which has nearly 5 times better strength properties for example. Please visit for example www.kareline.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.141.144.30 (talk) 06:30, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
