editI note the comment at the head of this article regarding the shortage of references. Agreed, but may I congratulate the author nonetheless on an article that appears to someone with more-than-casual but less-than-scholarly knowledge of Ries to be correct and remarkably good given then confines of its unfortunate brevity.
I have some supporting references to offer, and wish also to add to the text, but I am quite tied up at the moment, and do not wish to contribute in dangerous haste.
Ries is much denigrated, I believe that his music is disgracefully undervalued for many shameful reasons, and he deserves the truly encyclopedic tribute that this article might in time become. Wyresider (talk) 20:02, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
