editI don't know when this article was moved to the main space, as there is no alert in my drafts that this was done. Regardless of this, there is persistent editors who continue to change the format and layout. They have stated that franchise/film series articles should not include film tables, which is factually incorrect. A quick sample of various film series articles will show that it is a common element that shows commonalities in the varying installments. I have brought this up here, as this article which continues to have reverts/re-edits/etc may need a protected status, once there is a consensus reached. Pinging recent editors, to state their opinions, Users: Mcrsftdog, Gooey98, MainlyTwelve, SpecialContributions:2001:8003:CCF2:4900:B934:594D:5064:7880, User contribution:101.176.138.38, User Contribution:101.176.138.38, Sock, Legaiaflame, Vikenviksingh, and SecondLooneyaccount. User:DisneyMetalhead seems to be referring to deletes by User:Vikenviksingh.[1] These deletes[2][3] seem to misunderstand the purpose of the Infobox which according to the guidelines at MOS:INFOBOX "the purpose of an infobox: to summarize (and not supplant) key facts that appear in the article".
There may be other arguments to be made about avoiding tables and using more meaningful WP:PROSE instead but the reasons User:Vikenviksingh stated for his deletes was incorrect, and they should discuss before making any further deletes. Deletes by one user does not seem reason enough to lock or protect the article. -- 109.78.196.125 (talk) 00:50, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- @109.78.196.125 thank you for your input. Agreed that so far it has been one editor. My proposition above was simply to attempt to maintain the integrity of the article, should continued deletions continue and lead to behaviors of edit-warring. Cheers m8! If anyone else has input, please speak.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 13:45, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
