Logo description
editThe written description of the logo and the graphical description are discrepant. Perhaps the written description of the logo is referring to an earlier version of the logo? Or vice versa?Ekips (talk) 18:26, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
A year and a half later, the logo description is the same. Nonsensical and apparently incorrect. It also says the English and Greek appear on all products. This is wrong; I'm looking at some products now, and there is actually no Greek anywhere. I'm deleting the logo section, since a description of the logo probably isn't necessary anyway since there are images present in the article. AlbertusmagnusOP (talk) 20:14, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
- For the record, I have some of the US produced Fage in my refrigerator right now, and it does includes both the Greek and English logos. In fact here is a picture of some of the Fage products reviewed by an American site: Picture here. As you can see, the Greek logo appears on one side of it. And obviously in Greece, the Greek logo (as well as English) is found on all of the domestically sold products. Greekboy (talk) 05:03, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
The ONLY Greek Yogurt sold internationally.
editFa-gy'e or Fage is the only large scale producer of Greek Yogurt which was founded as a Greek Dairy using the Greek method. The only other manufacturer that comes close is Danon, because the founder of Group Danone was born in the city of Thessaloníki in the Macedonia province of Greece.
The other manufacturers of "Greek" yogurt are imitators and may not actually make an authentic product. I am very surprised that "founded in 1926 in Greece" is not part of the packaging.
Anyone can claim to make a product but this is the only authentic Greek product on the market and should be specified in the article.
