Stub-class?
editThe article is not a stub anymore, as there's more content for context. -Mardus /talk 21:07, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
- No any source. Sources needed. Eurohunter (talk) 19:18, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
Iselin Solheim not a featured artist?
editIn this edit, this line about Iselin Solheim was removed:
- , though she is not credited as a featured artist.
So, is Iselin Solheim credited as a featured artist or not? The title of the official video suggests, that she is not credited as a featured artist. -Mardus /talk 00:52, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
- If she isn't credited as featured artists, she isn't featured artist. Eurohunter (talk) 12:52, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
Charts: Singapore removed
editFor some reason, this edit removed Singapore, and did not explain why. -Mardus /talk 14:10, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
- In my opinion there should be just national main sales charts include airplay etc. not even like polish airplay than just Singaporean radio chart. But I'm not sure there in Singapore is music industry like UK, Germany etc. Eurohunter (talk) 18:08, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
- For example, in Estonia, at least three or four different charts are run by major music-centered stations — Raadio Uuno, Sky Pluss, Power Hit Radio (all commercial), and Raadio 2 (public station, monthly chart). In Uuno's chart, "Faded" reached number 1, but it's very difficult to know, which one of them charts is the official or most comprehensive one. -Mardus /talk 22:19, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
Help needed in confirming Paldiski locations filmed in the video
editAlthough I could find the location of the last building just outside Paldiski, I don't know exactly if parts of the video were also filmed in Paldiski proper, because I'm not familiar with the area. One of only very few hints I got was an Instagram post or repost tagged #Paldiski, which was possibly the one that helped me pinpoint the location of the final shot via flickr and then Picasaweb. -Mardus /talk 01:23, 24 March 2016 (UTC)
100 million views on YouTube
editSince the video has gained over 100 million views already on YouTube, then I've decided to slow down updating the view count.
- What this means, is, that instead of updating the view count every time another million views are added, I'll update the count once it reaches a nice number, such as 110, 111, 123, 125 mil., etc.
- If a reputable news source reports a greater view count in-between, then editors are encouraged to add that, and update the view count accordingly. -Mardus /talk 23:39, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- When editing, don't forget to also update the accessdate in the YouTube reference when updating the view count. Note also, that
|date=2015-12-03
in the reference is the video upload (aka publication) date, and should therefore not be changed. -Mardus /talk 22:06, 3 April 2016 (UTC)- Anyway this information is unstable so it isn't good information for encyclopedia. Eurohunter (talk) 04:26, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
- It's a primary source, but the most reliable one for that fact. If I'll find a reliable source reporting over 200 million views, then I'll add that. The number of views is well over 4 million every day, so I only revisit the video to see if the view count has reached a reasonably round number. -Mardus /talk 15:07, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
Rummu quarry image
editOne of the edits removed the image pictured to the right, though it's still featured in the article about the Rummu quarry itself. If anyone has a wish to add the picture back into this article (Faded), then feel free to do so. -Mardus /talk 14:56, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
- Resolved. Turns out, that an IP editor made some arbitrary changes and removed some of the content in the process. -Mardus /talk 12:52, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
Infobox: Music video link
edit@Eurohunter, I slightly disagree on removing the music video link. OTOH, one of the references already points to the video, and the music video on its own is already very famous. -Mardus /talk 21:18, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what do you mean. External links it's better place for his main official site or song (even happened). Eurohunter (talk) 21:23, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Well, on one hand, the removal seemed arbitrary; on the other hand, there are links already. It was, that I just wanted to point out these two things. If the infobox does not have the external link now, then it's still ok. -Mardus /talk 21:32, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- So are you agree with that? If YouTube links been deleted from infobox (been deleted like in polish version?) should be deleted from external links too. Eurohunter (talk) 22:27, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- I only had in mind the one external link from the infobox. External links in the External links section are required for reference, such that there would be a link to the original "Faded" video, but not links to remixes not published by Walker himself. -Mardus /talk 01:09, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

NPOV
editIn the Background section, the comparison with fade is a little biased don't you think? The 2nd link is not that relevant as well (at least when it comes to the song being better mixed and mastered). Kelsotopia (talk) 18:35, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
YouTube statistics
editA newly-registered user removed YouTube information without prior discussion here at Talk, with only explanation that "This is not true". I reverted his edit. If that user misbehaves, the article will need protection from edits by IP users and newly-registered users. -Mardus /talk 13:10, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
Where is the proof of the stat that says this stat is true? Explain. I cannot find any sources saying this stat is true, thanks. I am not believing it is true and I gave examples of why it is not true. ~walker9 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Walker9 (talk • contribs) 16:58, 14 October 2016 (UTC)

Alan Walker and not Iselin Solheim?
editThis is the first song I remember ever that is not being marketed as sung by the singer, but someone else. I don't think that is very common is it? If not, why not a paragraph somewhere in this page to explain why it is an Alan Walker song and not an Iselin Solheim song? And why Lucky is a Kylie song and not a Stock Aitken and Waterman featuring Kylie? ZhuLien /talk 16:40, 2 January 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.70.207.235 (talk)
Track list
editThe albums "Faded - Single", "Faded (Restrung) - Single", "Faded (Remixes) - EP" and "Faded (Remixes II) - Single" are only available in the United States,[1] while the albums "Faded (Remixes)" and "Faded - EP" are available worldwide.[2] I created the track lists for both albums that are available worldwide, and added "(US only)" to the track lists of the 4 US-only albums. No mention of the previous "fade" NCS song by Alan Walker? Faded it's obviously inspired in fade, just go listen it
editGo to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bM7SZ5SBzyY Notice, it's the exact same background melody rhytm. It's from 2014, way before Faded was published. What's the relationship between the two?
