I've noticed Wikipedia considers these the same name, basically. They're not. Eudoxia comes from Eu- and Doxos while Eudokia comes from Eu- and Dokeos. For example Wikipedia calls Aelia Eudocia "Eudocia" when her and her daughter Licinia Eudoxia were both named "Eudoxia." Medieval copyists who didn't know Greek confused the names. &;&;Rather than ignoring a subtle yet incontestable grammatical error, I note that "when her and her daughter ... were both ..." should instead begin "when she and her daughter ...". While I took pleasure in working out an unambiguous wording that explained" the error that must have led to the confused wording, I awkwardly erased it in a bad tablet-gesture. --Jerzy•t06:11, 6 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
