Hi everyone! I am a 4th year medical student contributing to this article. I am planning to update and edit this article over the course of 4 weeks. My goals are listed below. I'd appreciate any feedback! Let me know if you have any questions!
Workplan:
-Find 2-3 high quality articles/book chapters that are well established
-Find 4-5 high quality resources to cite
-Develop a rough outline for the article
-Include information on history, medical uses, indications, procedure, risks, results and follow-up
-Find images that work with copyright rules
-Thorough editing for quality of writing, spelling and grammar checks.
- Embed links to other wiki medical articles as appropriate
-Ensure that all information is properly cited and neutral on the topic
-Complete editing of all sections - make sure that all citations are correctly done and that all hyperlinks open properly
Thanks!

- The workplan is clear and lists specific, measurable, attainable, reasonable objectives. Since this is a stub-class article, all the sections need to be expanded. The plan clearly defines the sections that will be expanded- history, medical uses, indications, procedure, risks, results, and follow-up and these sections are logical and make sense. In addition, the plan proposes to use images, which would be helpful for a page about a procedure.
- The organization of the article so far is strong, and the use of guidelines and standards as high-quality sources is another standout feature of this article.
- I think it would be helpful to have links to the Wikipedia pages of the alternatives listed: direct cervical visualization, colposcopy, and endocervical colposcopy. Additionally, it would be helpful to know the number percentages for the risks of the procedure, like perforation, bleeding, and infection, if they are known/published.
- Overall the readability of the article is good. It does not use any unnecessary medical jargon. It flows naturally as well. This is a minor point but in my mind, the sentences under "Risks" that lists the contraindications of ECC flows better if they are listed immediately after the "Indications" subsection.
- Thank you for improving this page! I look forward to reading your final version. Medicine2025 (talk) 22:26, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the super insightful edits and feedback! I really appreciate the pointers and have implemented everything that you suggested and I think that it helped a lot! I added in a lot more links to other wikipedia pages and I think that it will really help the reader to understand topics that are related to endocervical curettage.
