More complete information about Dr. Elmo
editDr. Elmo has been a bluegrass banjo player for 30+ years. Since 1991, he has been promoting the Grandma song full time, year round and playing with his bluegrass band.
He does well over 100 interviews on radio and TV each holiday season, inluding Fox and Friends and Good Morning America (2009). On Good Morning America the La Guardia High school choir did the back-up vocals for "Grandma."
In December 2010, Elmo appeared on 108 TV and radio interviews. These included: Good Day New York, WPIX, WGN-TV (Chicago) WGN and WLS radio (Both in Chicago), KGO and KCBS radio in SF and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where he performed "Grandma" with The Roots.
