Actually, let me expand on it just a bit. I think the proposed title just flows better, and makes more sense. It is particularly important for an author like Ellen White, who wrote a large amount of material that has never been published but remains studied by the Adventist church. Taking it further, does the "writings of" title suggest the list should contain every email composed by a one of the novelists? I think bibliography is a much better fit for the purpose of the list. So while I certainly agree with the nominator regarding consistency, I also think the titles should be changed for their own sakes. 78.26(spin me / revolutions)03:04, 25 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Although I like the table format for the essence of this page that was recently added, it needed a serious update and restructure. Among the latter, I replaced the full names of publishers with abbreviations and added a table of abbreviations and removed or simplified most of the notes. I also deleted the table of periodicals. This was useless because it did not include bibliographical references to White's articles (e.g., titles, dates, pages). I also added back what I consider essential information and data concerning the wide disparity of "White's" lifetime vs. posthumous publications. Finally, I updated some references and notes. I should have mentioned in the above comments, that this article should not have the word "bibliography" in the title. It is not a bibliography of White's writings. Such a bibliography would have to include her hundreds of pamphlets and periodical articles and would be completely impractical for this site. I suggest renaming it simply "Ellen G. White books." I believe it is good to add as much information as possible. It is strange that you cut out many of Ellen White's books, and deleted the entire Periodicals section.
Please be supportive of including as many of Ellen White's writings as possible (not just books).
I don't know what "out out" means! If you mean I deleted books, it is because they are not in official lists. The article had several dozen individual "testimonies" listed as books. I listed them more efficiently in the 9 books where they were collected. As for the "entire Periodical section," it was useless as simply a list of periodical names, e.g., The Bible Echo (BEcho: 1892-1902). To be of any value it would require the listing of hundreds of article titles. I opted for a much simpler solution.Wctrenchard (talk) 08:14, 3 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, the type is so small that I misread "out out" for "cut out." I listed all the books currently in the White Estate files and did so in chronological order. I also argued above to change the article title back to "Book List." It is not a bibliography now nor has it ever been, even with the previous list of periodical names. A comprehensive bibliography of EW would have several thousand items! Wikipedia does not typically include all the books scholars have written, let alone the dozens, hundreds, or thousands of articles they may have authored.Wctrenchard (talk) 08:26, 3 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ellen White bibliographies on the internet elsewhere such as the one at the EGW Estate Branch Office at Loma Linda show much more detail regarding what books and periodicals have been printed. The one at Loma Linda was compiled by Marilyn C. Crane and contains 662 titles.
It is true that the EGW Estate now generally recognizes only the current editions of the books, but I included the original editions too, as they are helpful to those who are interested in reading all her works. It is unnecessary to list every article in Periodicals. Just listing the title will help those interested in reading her works to know where to look for more information.
The more information, the better. Let's use the power of Wikipedia to give a more comprehensive listing of Ellen White's works, rather than a truncated listing. Earlysda (talk) 08:46, 6 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
The present article references the Crane bibliography. That is sufficient. Nothing else is needed in a list like this, least of all a useless, less-than-complete bibliographical listing of simply the names of periodicals in which White wrote. If you want to compile and publish such a complete, full-bibliographical listing of White's periodical articles, including article titles, periodical names, volume and number designations, dates, and page numbers, published during her lifetime and/or later reprinted in various languages through the world, BE MY GUEST. This is certainly not something I have time, energy, or interest to do—especially when it is not needed.Wctrenchard (talk) 22:23, 12 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
