Multiple issues.
editI think this article has multiple issues, because the term "Electrical drawing" can refer to at least three things:
- The field of electrical drawing, subfield of the technical drawing discipline.
- The drawing in the electrical engineering discipline
- A subfield of subfield of technical drawing
I think the article initially was designed in line with this third meaning by Trihoiseachaithne. He defined
- Working drawings as Working drawings for architectural project or a built environment such as theatre stage work.
- And Electrical drawing as a type of working drawings for architectural project, concering things like Communication / Computer network, Lighting, and Power in a built environment.
At the moment the initial definition by Trihoiseachaithne is still in place:
- An electrical drawing, a type of technical drawing, shows information about power, lighting, and communication for an architectural project.
Now I think "electrical drawing" don't relate to just an architectural project. They relate to all kinds of engineering projects.
I think the other information I adding in the article relates more or less to the second meaning. I guess this could be misleading, and we should do something about it. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 21:06, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
P.S. See also Talk:Civil drawing#Multiple issues
- I guess I solved (part) the articleissues problem here by enlarging the field of application in the lead sentence from "architectural projects" to "engineering and architectural projects".
- However I admitt I didn't completely solved the problem, because it is not made clear that the term "elektrical drawing" can both relate to the field and the type of drawing. But this is a thing allready expressed in the technical drawing article, and I don't think it has to be repeated in every single subarticle.

This section should be broken up to accommodate what is noted above as well as to incorporate the different types of drawings within each broken out section. As examples within construction: There may be a single line or a three line for power drawings. There are RCP's (reflected ceiling plans), power distribution, branch circuiting, etc. Grasfulls (talk) 14:48, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
