Is this article necessary ?

edit

Is this article necessary when it is almost an exact copy of from the Hurricane Sandy article ? UrbanNerd (talk) 00:01, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

The Sandy article has a summary of what is here, and seeing as the main article is extremely long, any sub-articles are helpful at this point. Later, we can assess what to merge back in. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 00:03, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
I laughed when I saw this article existed. One of the joys of an overhyped topic. InedibleHulk (talk) 02:19, 12 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Agree - I am a Canadian and I laugh at this article. What is the point of this? Sandy had less of an impact in Canada than any one of 10 different winter storms that happen every year in Ontario and everywhere else in the country. I don't even know why Canada is mentioned in the main Sandy article. Compared to impacts on other countries and even compared to other regular annual storms in Canada, it was basically a non event. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.34.88.123 (talk) 01:59, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
I came here to say the same thing. Looking forward to seeing it nominated for deletion. Keep your fork, there's pie (talk) 19:07, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

There were two deaths and some impact. There is precedent, by the way - Effects of Hurricane Isabel in Canada. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 19:11, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, and as a wise person on that talk page said at the time, "I really don't think the content in there is any more than what could fit in the regular Hurricane Isabel article". There's a section on Canada in the main Hurricane Sandy article. That's more than enough. Keep your fork, there's pie (talk) 20:10, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Well played :P With Isabel, similar to this, the Canada article was made before it was determined how long the main article would be. In a way, that's similar for Sandy, since the main article is still woefully scant on info for aftermath. I think it's a bit early now, but that's just me. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:03, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

A photo of that Staples sign might be useful -- 65.92.181.190 (talk) 08:07, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Like every network news show in Canada? Or all the major Canadian newspapers? [1][2][3][4] Even Staples responded to it [5] ; -- 65.92.181.190 (talk) 10:14, 5 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
