Needs help

edit

Citations need to be more than raw links, the uncited litany of sites probably is too detailed, and there are many uncited dated statements. W Nowicki (talk) 20:06, 8 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

These issues have been addressed through a thorough revision of the article in August 2013. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Haringkop (talkcontribs) 13:35, 24 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Came here to try to find the individuals responsible for inventing eduroam, and which universities they worked for. Just got names of consortiums. Heroes of university IT, the individuals responsible should be properly credited. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.159.196.14 (talk) 16:12, 4 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Multiple issues?

edit

I wonder which issues are to be solved. The note at the beginning of the article says:

  • This article may require cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. The specific problem is: pov, no names of people involved, opaque wordy explanations, uninformative. (April 2020)
  • The neutrality of this article is disputed. (April 2020)

Who disputes the neutrality of this article and why? Why aren't more details given here at the talk page? What is meant by "no names of people involved"? I don't think that the article is uninformative. --Gunnar (talk) 16:26, 21 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Agree with Gunnar, eduroam has always been a group effort, although Klaas Wieringa (who worked for SURFnet at the time) was one of the key people involved and has been acknowledged as the father of eduroam. The article is pretty neutral in tone. --spaetow
