Partiality

edit

This article is nothing more than anti-governmental crap. The only economical solution for Myanmar: to become again a colony!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.23.63.12 (talk) 03:28, 20 February 2010 (UTC) This article is heavily biased and does not meet wikipedia's standards for impartiality. Plead

edit

The economy of Myanmar should be restored as soon as possible on the grounds of humanitarian porposes. Capitalist should return, and let the people be esrabished once more. Pls save myanmar from buncrupcy and militarianity.

Detail

edit

out of curiosity, why is this article less detailed than the one on the Myanmar page? It makes no sense.. the economy page should go into MORE detail and should probably reference some of those economic papers cited in the main page.

Major Editing

edit

I agree that this page should be more detailed than the "Economy" section of the main Myanmar page. Consequently, I included on this page all the material from the "Economy" section of the main Myanmar page. I also added to both pages sections on humanitarian aid and recent economic protests.SimonBillenness 06:19, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lack of Footnotes

edit

My edit have included footnotes. However I don't see them at the end of the article. Why? Can anyone fix that?SimonBillenness

horribly inconsistent

edit

The article states that Myanmar exported $3.5 billion worth of gas. It also estimates drug exports between $1 billion and $2 billion and describes that as 40% of the export-earned dollars. The numbers don't work. BTW, a 100% margin of error on estimating the value of the drug trade is unacceptable. Currently I have changed updated data form CIA worldfact book. I would like to suggest entering official data from http://www.csostat.gov.mm/S01MA02.asp. Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ttphyoe (talkcontribs) 07:16, 14 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Myanmar not improving is so offensive

edit

A Wikipedia article said that Myanmar is not improving in fact ASEAN is making its best of improving the economy of Myanmar. 136.158.119.247 (talk) 14:53, 20 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
