– This person is the only one named "Duane Johnson". The actor/wrestler Dwayne Johnson, while unquestionably more famous, is not so much so that a misspelling of his name would still be equally or more notable than someone with that name outright. If parenthetical qualifier "(disambiguation)" is appended to the main title header of a dab page, it is an indication of a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Since the dab page lists only two men, adding "(disambiguation)" would make Duane Johnson the primary topic over Dwayne Johnson. The more intuitive solution would be the deletion of the unnecessary dab page and the addition of the standard hatnote atop Duane Johnson — "Not to be confused with Dwayne Johnson" — or simply retaining the already-existing hatnote — "For the professional wrestler-turned-actor, see Dwayne Johnson." —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 03:04, 18 March 2021 (UTC)

It should be also noted that from 23:23, 10 April 2011 until 19:19, 1 September 2015 this page (redirected to Dwayne Johnson on 1 September 2015 and converted into a disambiguation page 20:44, 16 March 2019) was the site of an apparently self-created full-size article delineating an artist with the same name as the basketball player — Duane Johnson. The Dwayne Johnson (disambiguation) page would list Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and would also list two subsidiary topics — Duane Johnson (basketball) and Duane Johnson (artist). Oppose per this information found by Roman Spinner. It appears that the article at Duane Johnson was deleted against consensus, and should be reverted. Taking into account the above vote by 162.208.168.92 and comment by 67.70.100.30, I am revising the stricken portion of my vote above at 04:41, 18 March 2021, so that it states, "but would support Duane Johnson → Duane Johnson (artist), accompanied by creation of the Dwayne Johnson (disambiguation) page, with Duane Johnson redirecting to it". —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 02:18, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

Following up on the above vote by In ictu oculi, if consensus skews in that direction, I would also support a simple WP:NOPRIMARYTOPIC Duane Johnson disambiguation page, using the basic form in which the page currently exists, that would list Duane Johnson (artist), Duane Johnson (basketball) and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Any users who might mistype The Rock's name as "Duane" would arrive at the dab page, see The Rock's name as one of the entries and proceed from there. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 08:31, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Because there still appears to be a lack of consensus regarding the most intuitive resolution to this nomination, we might want to examine each of the elements. Since what is currently the Duane Johnson dab page (and its associated talk page where this discussion is taking place) has the revision history for the artist, this talk page's main header should be moved to Talk:Duane Johnson (artist) and the header for the dab page itself should be moved to Duane Johnson (artist), with the page's content returned to this last point in its revision history.

Duane Johnson (basketball) would remain as is and then a new disambiguation page would be created, with consensus deciding whether its main header should be Duane Johnson and simply list all three men or whether its header should be Dwayne Johnson (disambiguation), with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and "Duane Johnson" redirecting to him. A hatnote atop his page would point to the dab page, where the two men named Duane Johnson would be listed as subsidiary topics. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 15:32, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
