Need list of all medications known to cause the condition. Here's a start, from http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001471/

"Drug-induced lupus erythematosus ... Several medications are known to cause drug-induced lupus. They include:

Chlorpromazine

Isoniazid

Methyldopa

Penicillamine

Procainamide

Quinidine

Sulfasalazine ..."

It is interesting that in general the group of compounds is azine, azid, amine, amid, etc, organic, and aromatic organic compounds rich in nitrogen... that means the symptoms could be triggered by a wide range or relatively ordinary compounds, such as nicotine. In reality, one could come into contact with concentrated undefined azine-azid-xyz compounds created by combustion processes, touch it and acquire lupus symptoms? This occupational hazard should be known better. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.64.7.200 (talk) 18:42, 17 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Drug induced lupus

edit

LADIES, I tested positive for drug induced lupus because of my birth control bar in my arm. This is a new type of case and I’m not seeing any other cases that birth control caused this for them but it did for me I had severe rashes everywhere. All over my face, arms and legs I had a biopsy done and once I alerted all my doctors I went back to my gyno to get my birth control taken out and my rashes slowly went away after 3 months but it was horrible I thought I had skin cancer. 2603:6011:A600:A902:D94E:BEAE:2EAA:8362 (talk) 10:27, 1 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
