Move? 1

No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 06:26, 27 April 2011 (UTC) Diversitas → DIVERSITAS –
- Title is on blacklist, but there seems to be nothing controversial about this ecology organization, no create or deletion history, etc. Mr. Credible (talk) 09:42, 20 April 2011 (UTC) Mr. Credible (talk) 09:42, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
- What do Wikipedia rules say about the all-uppercasing?, unless its name can be shown to be an acronym. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 11:01, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
- WP:CAPS and WP:TITLEFORMAT only cover the capitalization of separate words, rather than spelling a single name all in caps. MOS:ALLCAPS says to use all caps for acronyms and initialisms, but doesn't say not to use all caps if it's not clear whether it's an acronym. Since that's how the organization itself consistently spells it, and since there are no disambiguation issues with an all-caps spelling on Wikipedia, then spelling it as they spell it (with a redirect from the existing spelling) seems the best way to go. Mr. Credible (talk) 08:26, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose. WP:MOSTM is pretty clear on this: we don't use stylistic all-caps. --DAJF (talk) 08:08, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Requested move 2
edit- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: no consensus to move. Malcolmxl5 (talk) 19:11, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
Diversitas → DIVERSITAS an international program of biodiversity science – I want to complete the name of the program to avoid ambiguation and stick to the legal name of the association. The name of DIVERSITAS is statutorily (legal funding articles of association) to be written in full capital letters, followed by the terms "an international program of biodiversity science". Mebiotti (talk) 09:19, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose: As the above move request per WP:MOSTM -- [[ axg ◉ talk ]] 14:46, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose Welcome, Mebiotti. You should review MOS:TM, an established Wikipedia name that, in short, means we don't always use the official name or stylization for a company or organization's Wikipedia article. It would also be inappropriate for us to add the organization's subtitle. Per our naming criteria, we use concise names. Even if there were a similarly named article, we'd probably call this one Diversitas (organization). Best, BDD (talk) 21:45, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose this is a supposed to be a title, not a glossary definition. -- 70.24.247.127 (talk) 22:32, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
