Talk:Dimensional fact model

I really like the content in this entry. However, I would like to incorporate this information into the entry for "Dimensional modeling", and set this page up as a redirect.

  • Dimensional model is the most commonly used phrase to describe this type of data design (in the US, at least).
  • Other phrases include star schema and snowflake schema, though these names imply a flavor of physical design that's absent from the more generic dimensional model or dimensional fact model.
  • Witness that as of today this page has received 96 views this month, compared to 2098 for "dimensional modeling".
