Is not the Basque an ethnic group?
editThis article is plagued of Spanish nationalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.99.122.202 (talk) 06:28, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
- Why are the ethnic minorities of Spain, treated in a different manner than other ethnic minorities in the articles about other European countries? The term Spaniards is not an ethnic reality. Would you call the Tatars and the Chechens, Russiards? This article is of very low quality, is plagued of Spanish nationalism, and is trying to hide the ethnic reality under the guise of "native speakers" hidding in fact the history of centuries of Spanish persecution of the languages of the minoritary ethnic groups. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.99.122.163 (talk) 04:24, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
Definition of ethnicity or nationality in Spain is fraught politically. Really?
editAnything, literally, not to mention in the article that the Spanish are, as they have always been, white Europeans like anyone else. As is done with other similar countries and it does not seem to pose any complications and is easy to verify for anyone traveling to that country. The reference to Jews and "Moriscos", when their respective expulsions are documented here, does not fit with their alleged ethnic contribution. Poor, very poor article. 66.81.178.51 (talk) 21:40, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
