Assisted suicide or euthanasia?

edit

@CommanderShepardX: I don't have the exclusive right to describe Röling's manner of death and neither do you. I made a bold edit, you reverted it, now we all discuss it. I think we all know where the two of us stand. InedibleHulk (talk) 23:05, 10 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

The source linked on the deaths page (barring the translation not being great) doesn't really stipulate the wording, and the second source used on his page is paywalled so I can't assess it there. Face value the two seem essentially the same thing, just comes down to method. So ultimately I would probably go with whichever way the source puts it. But like I said, can't even see if it's ever stated in the sources that this is the COD. Rusted AutoParts 23:46, 10 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Technically speaking, assisted suicide is a self-administered euthanasia but aided directly by a third party, whereas plain euthanasia is always administered only by a third party, and not by the self in any way. Find out which of the two applies in this case and you find out which one to use. Ref (chew)(do) 00:10, 11 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Why are these people included? They were not notable before they died. DrKilleMoff (talk) 09:03, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Because they are dead and they, or their death, have a Wikipedia article. That is sufficient to be listed here. WWGB (talk) 10:17, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
For one month, just to further clarify - if they remain mere redirects to an event article, and the event article does not eventually provide any biography on them as individuals, they should normally be removed after that. Ref (chew)(do) 14:10, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
