editI've never edited a page before, but these latest allegations by his ex-wife must be included. If someone more familiar with Wikipedia wants to rewrite the second paragraph, by all means do.
Added biographical info
editI added biographical info. Will add NPOV statement about about FDA appointmnet and ex-wife after a little bit more research.--FloNight 10:03, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
Removed from rapist category
editRemoved from rapist category. This category is not correct for Hager. He has not been convicted of rape. And there is not undisputed academic evidence he committed rape.--FloNight 12:46, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
- With several high-profile people complaining about Wikipedia publically, this is a serious issue. I will protect the page without discussion if this category is reinserted. JFW | T@lk 09:02, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
- Please don't abuse your authority. Also, the lines "Many educated Republicans were astonished that a Bush appointee who is also a gynecologist would be confused with the anatomy of a woman. They also weren't quite sure what was more repulsive: the personal indiscretions of this man or just the fact that a sitting president of the United States would have the kind of judgement that would lead to such an appointment." should be removed as they are certainly not NPOV and are unsourced. - 24.23.37.62 (talk) 15:49, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
I do not understand how there is no mention of the allegations of rape by his wife. It is literally the thing this person is famous and noteworthy for. I'm not sure the best way to wright it but it needs to be in there —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.207.129.78 (talk) 10:59, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Agree witht he above, this should be referenced somewhere: http://www.thenation.com/article/dr-hagers-family-values?page=0,1 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.26.176.84 (talk) 07:55, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
For what it's worth, I just heard an old show by Bill Maher where he talks about this man and this incredible story, and decided to check Wikipedia, where there is no mentioning of this. If it weren't true, Maher would have been sued for slander right? Also, his wife has spoken about it quite publicly. This topic should be in the article--it is what he is known for. I would not have heard of him, if not for the story Maher was talking about.
Bill Maher on David Hager
editBill Maher told some jokes about David Hager at Comic Relief 2006. Perhaps someone could add this to the article?
Content removed...
editI removed the contact information as it is not encyclopedic. We are not a directory and do not provide this type of detail in a general encyclopedia for various reasons. Also modified the content about his postion on the board at Asbury College. The rest needs reliable sources and to be written in an more encyclopedic way in order to be included.
