Parody
editIs it worth adding a link to http://www.backingblair.co.uk/dave/ - a rather good parody of the first Dave video by the team at BloggerHeads? I would do it, but I'm not very good with this whole wikipedia thingie. Adancy 14:54, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Current Event?
editAs the 2006 Local Elections are now over, should the "Current Event" tag at the top of this page be removed?CPCHEM 17:25, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, done. In fact, considering the Labour party ditched Dave the Chameleon before the end of the campaigning period, I doubt we'll be seeing any more of him in the future. DWaterson 10:29, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
- No, it was not ditched. The third broadcast was never going to be a Dave the Chameleon film. David | Talk 11:48, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Requested move
editDave the chameleon → Dave the Chameleon – To correct the capitalisation of the title. Hopefully this is uncontroversial; do we need to take a vote?
- Shouldn't think so, I listed it in the moves due to capitalization category weeks ago though... --Robdurbar 11:02, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
- I agree that it be moved. Martinp23 20:51, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
Balancing Paragraph
editSomeone added this to the criticisms sections:
'Many commentators have also noted that the campaign was flawed to the extent that it shows Cameron in a positive light. Many people like the idea that Cameron is not going to choose a bad policy and stick to it, and that he listens to what people have to say.'
Though not necessarily disagreeing with the sentiments in the paragraph, the problem is that it includes Weasel Words such as 'many commentators', without attributing this opinion to anybody; ditto 'many people'. This hides a viewpoint of possibly one person, and claims that it is held by 'many'. This paragraph needs to be sourced. --Robdurbar 08:50, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
Wording altered and citation added. --Andy Hartley 12:36, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
