Use in MDMA-intoxication treatment

There's two problems with this. Firstly, it's very old school. Since one of the symptoms of "MDMA-intoxication" is hyperthermia, ER doctors would initially treat that empirically with dantrolene. The efficacy of this is disputed these days, now that we have a slightly better understanding of the neurochemical effects of MDMA. In any case, MDMA-intoxication doesn't actually lead to hyperthermia. Serotonin syndrome does. Taking MDMA in a hot, crowded night club and not drinking enough water whilst consuming a lot of alcohol and dancing for hours leads to heat exhaustion, which is probably what the authors Krause et al meant by MDMA-intoxication. This is different to serotonin syndrome. The second problem is the Krause article referencing evidence for the use of dantrolene in serotonin syndrome/MDMA-intoxication actually says the opposite. Dantrolene is a peripherally acting muscle relaxant with no central effects and is presumably advised because it may reduce thermogenesis associated with muscular activity and perhaps because it contains mannitol, which may contribute towards diuresis. If this is the case then the administration of dantrolene is ill advised since a non-depolarising neuromuscular blocking agent (for example, atracurium by infusion) would similarly reduce muscle thermogenesis... In addition, there is no real evidence of the efficacy of dantrolene in ecstasy toxicity.... Dantrolene may prove to be efficacious in ecstasy toxicity, but unless an association with the neuroleptic malignant syndrome or malignant hyperpyrexia is seriously suspected, the current proposed mechanism of toxicity provides no logical reason to administer dantrolene rather than a nondepolarising neuromuscular blocking agent.

For that reason I've left serotonin syndrome in (as dantrolene is still dubiously used to treat this) but taken MDMA-intoxication out as dantrolene would never be used to treat this.
