Crystal Mountain vs Crystal Mountain Resort

edit

I believe the two should be separated into two different articles like Silver Star Mountain and Silver Star Mountain Resort were. Kgrr 06:22, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree; this article should be renamed as in its current title format it should be for a mountain, even if the resort's official name doesn't tag on "Ski Resort" (w. caps) it can still be "ski resort" or "ski area" (small caps). Likewise Crystal Mountain (British Columbia) has a name-format problem as that format is for geographic objects, i.e. once again for a mountain, not a resort or community; for which the format would be Crystal Mountain, British Columbia but since that's not a postal address or registered placename as anythign but officially it's Crystal Mountain recreational facility but Crystal Mountain ski area would do, or rather Crystal Mountain ski area (British Columbia). Is there a gazetted Crystal Mountain the Cascades? - if there is the title above should be for it, not for the resort.Skookum1 (talk) 13:54, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Resort overview

edit

The article section titled Resort overview attempts to do way more than an encyclopedia article should. Indeed, the section title ought to be changed to something akin to Nitty gritty details. Surely there's a place for this content elsewhere, such as a fanzine or booster club blog. This section ought to summarize the unique traits of the resort. —EncMstr 06:36, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rex lowering

edit

What does the phrase "To facilitate the construction of the tram terminus, Rex will be lowered by one pylon" mean? First of all, a pylon isn't the normal terminology for ski lifts. Assuming it means a chairlift tower, how can an existing chairlift be lowered? —EncMstr 06:38, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Suggest disambiguation: Crystal Mountain (Washington) vs. Crystal Mountain (Michigan)

edit

There is another "Crystal Mountain" -- a ski resort in northern Michigan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arctoid (talkcontribs) 13:32, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

See first section above. Is there a Crystal Mountain (Michigan) article? - if there is I'll adjust the dab line, althoguh this is heading for disambig page turf.Skookum1 (talk) 13:56, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

New Ownership

edit

Crystal Mountain's ownership was transferred from Boyne Resorts to John Kircher in March 2017. https://crystalmountainresort.com/blog-winter/john-kircher-acquires-crystal-mountain/ I'll work on updating it when I have time.Dlthewave (talk) 12:47, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
