Hello. Ronaldo has won 34 trophies and not 32 as mentioned in the article. The uncounted trophies are the FA Community Shield 2008 and the UEFA Super Cup 2016. Although Ronaldo did not play both games the titles must be added as he was part of the team squad, in addition to being collective awards. Enclosed references:

Similarly, Ronaldo was awarded the best player of the 21st century at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony:

The following sentence (the reference for it is 313) needs a minor grammar fix - "take" instead of "taken":

"Ten Hag later named Ronaldo as captain for a league game against Aston Villa on 6 November, saying that Ronaldo was "an important part of the squad, we are happy with him and now he has to taken even more of the leader role".

Height should be 1.875 m

Not done: There is a note in the infobox associated with his height that says it varies between 1.85 and 1.89 depending on which source is used. DrOrinScrivello (talk) 16:51, 27 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

This sentence

After the game, Ferguson agreed to pay Sporting £12.24 million for what he considered to be "one of the most exciting young players" he had ever seen.

I think this can be changed to, " Speaking about ronaldo, Ferguson said "he was one of the most exciting young players" he had ever seen " . the transfer fee to sporting is literally already mentioned in the next sentence , this is why i think it should be changed Matthew is here zero (talk) 23:58, 27 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

The sentence is completely fine. It states the transfer fee and gives Ferguson's view of Ronaldo. The context seems in line. Gooners Fan in North London (talk) 12:43, 4 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, but if you read the next sentence the transfer fee is stated as well, i think the fee doesnt need to be stated twice Matthew is here zero (talk) 03:04, 5 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
OK. That section was needed to be correct, but everything else is alright. I was a bit confused by the quotation marks and didnt see anything else wrong. Gooners Fan in North London (talk) 04:27, 24 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Mistake in this sentence

edit

"...is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for and captains both Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr..." I believe there is a mistake in the sentence that could be corrected with "... is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Al Nassr and Portugal, where he serves as captain of both teams. CuraLiuc5 (talk) 15:11, 28 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

While your proposed version is a correct way of rephrasing the sentence, I actually prefer the existing word structure as a less-wordy way of saying he captains and plays forward for both teams. I added a "the" after "both" to rectify the grammatical error. DrOrinScrivello (talk) 19:46, 2 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Order of Merit Abbreviation incorrect

edit

The Portuguese Order of Merit is incorrect. It should be abbreviated as OM. It says it here in list of post-nominal letters. If that is true, then can anyone edit it? There is a protected edit and I cant seem to edit. Gooners Fan in North London (talk) 16:33, 30 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

According to the article you linked, it is an Officer of the Order of Merit that is abbreviated OM. Ronaldo is correctly identified as a Commander, abbreviated ComM (though an argument could be made that per the manual of style, post-nominals shouldn't be included in the article's lead in the first place). Top goalscorer of all time

edit

The statement is followed by the note: "RSSSF sets the record at 989 goals by Erwin Helmchen, but this tally includes 113 goals in regional, city and league teams."

This is deadend. RSSSF mentions three players above Ronaldo. We would have to check which leagues played the other two guys and then push an unfalsifable claim that the Saudi league is stronger than those leagues. Ronaldo is forth according to the source and all we can is add that he is first among players who debuted since 1931, that football was different game in that early time with 5-6 goals per game on average and some strikers recording career average of over one goal per game.Pseudopolybius (talk) 22:56, 2 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Should this page have an Instragram media personality infobox, in addition to Youtube?

edit

Since Ronaldo has the largest following on Instagram, shouldn’t he also have an Instagram infobox associated with his Wikipedia entry, in addition to his Youtube one? Floflojune (talk) 09:54, 7 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
