Sweden-bashing
editAnother Wikipedia member mentioned the Anti-Sweden slant of the article, and I have to agree that this article provide a lot of sources, but it fails to provide a comparison between Sweden and the nations that are being mentioned. If politicians in the US and UK are mentioned, then their claims should also have evidence next to them. I feel that this article is just a bunch of quotes, rather than actual links to UN and other sources of reliable data. Dogblock (talk) 18:46, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
- US politicians aren't experts on crime levels in Sweden and their comments do not belong in this article. This article could feature Swedish politicians. This article's statistics is mostly based on Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention data. A Thousand Words (talk) 18:58, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
- To be honest, I think this article goes easy on the reality of Sweden. I have family who did internal investigation within the police, undercover work, and lots of similar stuff. Truth is that there's a lot of corruption, and most of it is covered up by high ranking members of government. There are straight up terrorists who work as police officers in Sweden, and they are highly organised.78.69.180.157 (talk) 13:07, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- Oh and I should clarify, I don't mean muslim terrorists, I forgot that's a common stereotype. I mean Neo Nazis. They have infiltrated Swedish police and have influenced law enforcement for at least two decades by now. 78.69.180.157 (talk) 13:12, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- Yes of course, be careful! Make sure you don't refer to the actual criminals using frigging machine guns and grenades inside the neighborhoods...
Merge proposal
editThe page Gun violence in Sweden is pretty much a duplicate of and WP:OVERLAPS Crime in Sweden#Gun violence so I propose making the separate page a redirect to this one. JuniperChill (talk) 10:33, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
- Crime in Sweden seems more than long enough, and might benefit from having much of that section moved out (or just deleted), leaving a WP:SUMMARY of the content at Gun violence in Sweden. Klbrain (talk) 16:27, 27 April 2024 (UTC)

- I've had another look at this, and it was actually a long transclusion (rather than a duplication); I've switched to a shorter 'excerpt' on this page, which should help the length and duplication concerns. So, closing with no merge. Klbrain (talk) 16:29, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, so that's why it appeared like it was covering the exact content on both pages. I didn't think someone would transclude it. JuniperChill (talk) 20:34, 29 August 2024 (UTC)

No graphs from after 2018/19?
editIt seems pretty ridiculous there are no graphs for the last 4/5 years, given that it's when the trend in criminality increases dramatically. 31.221.222.115 (talk) 13:22, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
