- Yes, I think you are correct. The taxonomy of Brachycephaloidea/Terrarana has changed quite a bit, with differing authors splitting it into different numbers of families. I suspect Pristimantis was formerly placed in Craugastoridae, as part of subfamily Pristimantinae. It seems to have settled on the five family division (see ASW6 and AmphibiaWeb) so subfamily Pristimantinae is now part of Strabomantidae.
