It is not clear to me from the original Etude article whether it is Carl Reinecke's father who was the famous head of Leipzig Conservatory or Carl Reinecke himself. Can anyone clarify? Nick Watts 11:54, 27 October 2005 (UTC) I think that we should talk more about his music style. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dadaszehon (talkcontribs) 10:06, 18 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reinecke's father Rudolf Reinecke was not the head of the Leipzig Conservatory. What's more, Gurlitt could not have been a classmate of Reinecke's father Rudolf who was born in 1795. Gurlitt was born in 1820. The paragraph should probably read that Gurlitt was a classmate of Carl Reinecke who eventually became head of the Leipzig Conservatory. If in fact they were classmates it would have been in Altona. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.13.148.243 (talk) 22:35, 26 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
