Talk:Copy typist

This cannot be merged with data entry clerk. A copy typist and a data entry clerk have different skill sets and the jobs are on different pay scales and they have little in common Scottonsocks (talk) 21:43, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

In the UK and other countries, a data entry clerk enters data into a database. This could be financial data or other data

Total jobs.com description of typists - note how they do not mention data entry anywhere and notice how at the base of the page they have split "Data Entry" from the word "Clerk" http://www.totaljobs.com/Content/Job-descriptions/Admin/Typist.htmlScottonsocks (talk) 22:22, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please tell me how this page is similar to the touch typing page? Yes I mentioned touch typing but this page contains no information on how to touch type. Downgrading to a stub would be more appropriate. Also, having reviewed many other pages which need modification I would recommend creating a new page called typist so the multitude of references to typist, typing, data entry, etc can all be in one place.Scottonsocks (talk) 23:40, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
