I have changed the reference to CPSR's founding to reflect its incorporation as a nonprofit organization in March 1983. CPSR grew out of discussions launched in October 1981, and the name "Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility" started being used in June 1982. I will put a link to the history page on the CPSR website in the Wikipedia entry to clarify. We are changing the wording on the CPSR website to refer to the official founding date, but leaving the history pages so people can see how events unfolded. We want to do a series of 25th Anniversay events in 2007 and 2008 to mark the beginnings of CPSR as such and as a formal organization, respectively, so if we don't make these changes people may be confused about why we are still going to be celebrating the 25th Anniversary in 2008. - Todd Davies
2010 Status?
editIs this organization still active? The website indicates that most of the board of directors is vacant, and the most recent updates appear to be in 2008. 99.146.21.175 (talk) 23:47, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Dissolution
editThe article states that "The organisation was dissolved in May 2013". I believe that's true, but the cited source does not appear to give that date (or any date). Am I missing something? - Jmabel | Talk 00:08, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- It was me in May 2013 who mentioned their dissolution. I don't remember why I edited this article or Gary Chapman's, but I suspect the dissolution happened when I made that edit, so I dated the source "May 2013", although it doesn't carry any publication date. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 02:47, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
