Accurate Episode Count

edit

Is anyone able to provide a more exact episode count? I have put in approx 60 since it ran for approx 10-15 weeks per year (maybe more?) Thanks. Lakeyboy 22:52, 22 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I cannot but in the last 3 days this article has significatly improved. Well done to all involved. Someone should know the count though. - Mike Beckham 00:06, 23 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

"Creative success"?

edit

I have toned down the POV in this line, which was written by an anon last year: "The show had proved to be more commercially, but less creatively, successful in Australia than its rivals". What exactly is 'creative success', when it comes to television comedy shows? Unless we can get citations of TV Comedy Experts talking about it, this should stay out. - Mark 13:27, 12 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ernest

edit

Could we possibly have a subarticle about the Ernest sketches? There are recurring, and are notable as they have appeared several times. Perhaps quotes from the sketches as some are quite humourous. - Grevenko Sereth 3:11, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Alot of the sketches on the show are recurring ;) We probably should have subarticles for each?220.245.163.94 10:35, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Critical Backlash

edit

I added a paragraph on Comedy Inc's abysmal critical reception. I beseech everyone not to delete it for a while, as i'm still finding sources to back it up, because it would be a shame that such an indifferent show as this would be portrayed as yet another Australian comedy "Gem".Hotel city 13:42, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Comedy Inc.png

edit

Image:Comedy Inc.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sketches

edit

So I added some sketches... the weird "hello" lady... Blokeman/Metrosexual Man, "Matt and Bray", Berni with an i, and the father/son thingo. They are incredibly rough, as I am going through my memory. Although I have foxtel, and obviously The Comedy Channel, next time it's on, I will fix it up and get some more information. Feel welcome to fix up grammar, add anything new to what I've added. Lady Raven. 09:31, 23 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

New 2008 series on Foxtel's Comedy Channel?

edit

I'm abit confused. Apparantly, there are new episodes which are now premiering on the Comedy Channel instead of Channel Nine on Saturdays at 6:30pm. Is this true? Thanks. --Lakeyboy (talk) 06:42, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Through some research, I just realised that they made some new promos to promote the 2007 series of The Late Shife premiering on the Comedy Channel. --Lakeyboy (talk) 06:46, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Clicking on the "Ernest the Engine" link on this page goes to a redirect and right back to this page. Not sure if this is intended or if anyone cares, but I just thought I would point this out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.246.136.143 (talk) 08:35, 11 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Comedy Inc.Comedy Inc. (Australian TV series)Incomplete disambiguation. The Australian show is not markedly more notable than Comedy Inc. (Canadian TV series) for the purposes of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC rights — the main reason it has the plain title is that its article got created about six months earlier. Although it does generally get more pageviews than the Canadian one does, over the past four years we're looking at an average daily view rate of just 16 for the Australian show to 3 for the Canadian one — which is not a particularly large traffic difference even before you account for the fact that at least some of the Australian show's pageviews were likely from editors who actually wanted the Canadian show but landed on the wrong topic. (I have, for example, directly caught five instances so far of articles that meant to link the Canadian one, but were erroneously linking here instead.) The two shows aired more or less contemporaneously with each other, so disambiguation by premiere year is not an option here. Bearcat (talk) 18:35, 3 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
