Does this company still exist?
editHello, does anyone have a reliable sources that can confirm this company still exists, that the management is correct & operating locations are correct? I can see it was acquired by CWC, has it be fully integrated now? Very little reliable information is available, so please put me to any if you are aware. Thank you Dobsonstar (talk) 22:12, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
- CWC is owned by Liberty Global. Two 2017 lists of divisions filed with the SEC ([1] [2]) indicate that the various predecessor companies still exist on paper as legally incorporated divisions even though any public facing presence is long gone. For example, Kelcom Intl. dba Karib Cable (merged into Columbus->CWC->Liberty) is listed and it remains the registered owner of my current IP address. Some business news hits indicates that some divisions are still functional under the Columbus Communications brand.[3][4] Liberty Global is the real unified company operating under many names. • Gene93k (talk) 00:01, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- Yes and no. Ultimately **Most of it** is now American-based Liberty Latin America, LLA.com, Columbus acquired another company TeleBarbados/Tele St. Lucia and they became (Columbus Networks)[5] (some of C&W and some of Columbus Networks' subsea fiber networks was then spun off and acquired by Digicel Group and became Southern Caribbean Fiber [6] due to antitrust monopoly/competition concerns.
