Talk:Collectivization in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic

Limited scope

edit

This interests me is that over the 70 year history of the Ukrainian SSR, this article focuses on only 5-10 year band. --Kuban Cossack 12:46, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Maybe the topic should be expanded or nemaed to implementation of collectivisation in the Ukr SSR. Bandurist (talk) 16:00, 20 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect name of article

edit

Based on structure and content article should be named Collectivization in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic as a main causes of Holodomor- so another WP:FringeJo0doe (talk) 06:41, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

That's a very long and ungainly name. Maybe it would be better to call it the "Introduction of collective farming in the Ukrainian SSR", or "Implementation of Collective farming in the Ukrainian SSR", or maybe someone just has to update the article with sections regarding to the changes to collective farming after the Holodomor, during WWII, Post WWII and post independence. What is this all about? The Soviet policies for the introduction of Collectivisation that were introduced have to be understood in the larger context of the social revolution 'from above' that took place in the Soviet Union at the time?? Sorry but doesn't make much sense to me. What do you mean by "have to be understood"? It is clear from the beginning that Collectivization was "the social revolution 'from above'", so how this phrase improves the article?--Termer (talk) 07:19, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
