Does that look like a Fur Seal to you?
editI believe the animal on the 10-pence coin has been incorrectly identified as a Fur Seal. This can probably be traced to the Krause World Coin catalogue that calls it an "Ursine Seal" (ursine meaning fur), and this error has been picked up and propagated by coin collectors.
The animal pictured is more likely a South American Sea Lion (aka Southern Sea Lion). This site tipped me off first:

While Fur Seals are present in the Falklands, the Southern Sea Lion is much more prevalent and has played a far more important role in its history (commercial exploitation).
Most importantly, just take a look at pictures of the two animals and the animal pictured on the coin. The animal on the coin looks like a Southern Sea Lion, not a Fur Seal.
