Stairs tidbit

edit

I don't know if the stairs bit is notable for Clarendon specifically. Let me explain what I mean...

Metro is a little weird with its use of actual stairs. The newest stations all have them, in addition to escalators. The older stations have them somewhat sporadically. Capitol South, for instance, also has stairs from street to mezzanine, but it's far deeper than Clarendon. Then Waterfront-SEU has stairs from the mezzanine to the platform.

How this should be treated, I'm not sure, but I think discussion of Metro's use of stairs belongs as a section of Washington Metro vs. here. SchuminWeb (Talk) 15:14, 8 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Off topic, but I had no clue Capitol South had stairs. I used that station for 3 years, but I lived on the south side of it, so I took the elevator every single day. (And it broke once and I had to crawl out while the elevator was still 5 feet above the ground :( ) --Golbez 15:27, 8 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yep... three escalators, and a set of stairs. SchuminWeb (Talk) 16:13, 8 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
