Talk:Churchill Park, St. John's

I must say, I've lived in St. John's for 8 years and I've never heard anyone refer to the Churchill Park area as "Allandale." Maybe the "Allandale area" or "Allandale neighbourhood" (as in the CBC article), but you could say that kind of thing in reference to any major street (the Empire area, the Elizabeth area, the Larkhall neighbourhood, the Tunis Court neighbourhood...). If people actually called the area simply "Allandale", then you should be able to say things like "He lives in Allandale", which sounds pretty unlikely to me! I'm going to remove it from the article...feel free to put it back if I'm wrong! WillNL (talk)

Surely the northern boundary is not Elizabeth, as the article currently says, but farther north. If you look at the map at http://www.mun.ca/geog/research/churchillpark.php, you can see that the northern boundary is roughly where Prince Phillip Drive is now in the west and Mt Cashell Rd in the east. If Elizabeth were the northern boundary, then Churchill Park (the park) wouldn't be in Churhill Park (the neighbourhood). Theodore.norvell (talk) 14:18, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
