This needs to be disambiguated from the Maramatanga movement, which is older than Ratana (the founder was Wiremu Ratana's aunt), and which is now a movement within the Roman Catholic Church, and is active with several centers in the North Island of New Zealand and (I would estimate) a few thousand adherants.
