Fair use rationale for Image:Cholulabottle.JPG
editImage:Cholulabottle.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Ingredients
editThe sauce has proportionally more chile than tabasco, and less vinegar.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 18:03, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
Jerky
editCan someone write a suitable reference to Jack Links' Cholula jerky flavor? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.228.19.30 (talk) 01:15, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
Scoville Rating
editAccording to the official Cholula website, it only clocks in at around 1,000 Scoville units, as opposed to the article's suggestion of 3,600. I don't really know how to reconcile the fact that these numbers are totally different, so I'm looking for some feedback before I make any hasty edits.
Preservatives
editThe Ingredients section reads:
The sauce contains no artificial ingredients or preservatives.
Salt and vinegar in the proportions used for this sauce are preservatives. Some types of vinegar could also be considered less natural than others. I suggest removing or preservatives, substituting it by or artificial preservatives or removing the sentence to avoid sounding like an advertisement. PaleoNeonate (talk) 04:43, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
- I have removed the sentence. PaleoNeonate (talk) 06:55, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
Family History ?
editWhy is this included?
"Cholula is licensed by Jose Cuervo, but was started by the Harrison family, originally of Chapala, Jalisco, who now reside in Dallas, Texas. The image on the bottle is a portrait of Harrison family matriarch, Camila Harrison. She is survived by son, Roberto Harrison, and granddaughter, Callanita Harrison."
Do we really need to name the survivors - with no citations whatsoever? These people have nothing to do with the topic and are not NOT notable. Come on WP. 73.6.96.168 (talk) 17:44, 10 September 2019 (UTC)
Marketing Brochure
editThis isn't a WP article - it's a marketing brochure. How is this allowed? Someone please edit / rewrite this. 73.6.96.168 (talk) 17:48, 10 September 2019 (UTC)
