- Since a press release is still copyrighted (I got very nice clarification at village pump (policy), thank you) I have chopped it, given an external link to the press release, and marked it corp-stub. RJFJR 01:33, Jun 27, 2005 (UTC)
Change title
editHi there,
I just wanted to change the title of Celesio in "Celesio AG" could somebody help me with that??? I don´t know how I can do that.
Thank you...
- Talk:Celesio — Celesio → Celesio AG – The correct German name of this company is Celesio AG. -carinchen- 12:21, 18 October 2005 (CET)
- AG just means plc. It's part of the legal name, but not part of the name people use in everyday language - and it's the latter which Wikipedia considers when thinking about article names (Wikipedia:Naming_conventions). Rd232 18:56, 18 October 2005 (UTC)
- Disagree. All companies have either 'AG', 'SA', 'Ltd', 'Inc', 'NV', etc behind their official (legal) name. We should not add these (I believe there is an official Wiki policy on this even), except when this is needed for a disambig. In the entry it should of course mention the exact legal name. - DocendoDiscimus 18:44, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
- Oppose move — These letters are the equivalent of writing an article on Mr. Tony Blaire: more correct perhaps, but unnecessary. --Gareth Hughes 22:33, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
- Result: page not moved. Eugene van der Pijll 21:24, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
- The article title "Celesio" is correct, and should not change. However, the full name of "Celesio AG" should be included in the title sentence in bold (see Wikipedia:NC-CORP) - as in, for example, Royal Bank of Scotland and Wal-Mart (and Tony Blair for that matter). So I've done it. Carbonix (talk) 17:12, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
