A couple of points

  • It did move, but the Autobahn ride has been at the park for decades (since at least the early eighties).
  • "Rowdy Roosters" doesn't seem to be on the rides list.

Trivia tag and removal

I had removed the trivia section by intergrading the information into the article, but the other day the trivia section re-appeared. Here is the breakdown of this info and why we should remove it, thus eliminating the trivia section per Wikipedia guide lines.

  • After purchasing the park in the 1958, the owners burned all the pins from the bowling alley to keep warm during their first winter.

This fact was and still is located in the retired attractions section under “Bowling Alley - Notes”.

This fact is better suited for the Yankee Cannonball article, and is already located there.

  • Psychodrome before 2007 had a fog machine in it. The house lighting in Psychodrome used to get turned off during operation up until early August of 2007. The ride still employs strobe lights but they are very unnoticeable. The colored non-flashing "disco lights" are still used.

This information changes season to season and a more general presentation of this information is located in the Black diamond rides section under “Psychodrome - Notes.”

  • The Lake and Palace Arcades feature a wide selection of antique machines, many of which are in working order.

This fact is questionable. From 2005 to present many antique machines have been removed, and most of them are broken at any given time so this information seems trivial, and the debate over the accuracy of this information is a matter of opinion.
The trivia section has been tagged, and will be removed (again) in one months time.Redfive05 (talk) 00:13, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Round Up Retired

The round up has been removed from the rides list, and placed in the retired list. This is a rumor and the park is not opened yet for the year to prove this. If we are going on rumors, it has been said that the park is replacing the ride with a simaller, newer version of the ride. Will Canobie use the new ride name or keep the Round Up name. We should have probably waited to change this until the park opens for the year and we can actually see the changes that took place. Redfive05 (talk) 04:50, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Zero Gravity

the zero gravity is in the ocean trip is gone and the new ride replacing it is in. I don't know what the new ride is called but i'm going tommorow and i can edit this Fulgoni54321 (talk) 14:32, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Zero Gravity Confirmed

There are many pictures on the web of the Zero Gravity with signs, I believe this has sufficiently been confirmed.Redfive05 (talk) 010:26, 07 July 2008 (UTC)

Lake vs Park

Shouldn't Canobie Lake itself have a separate page from that of the park? How about some of the controversy and criticism from the property owners along the lake on the Windham side, too? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Underorbit (talkcontribs) 2006 July 5.

I somewhat agree, but right now there isn't even enough information for even a stub article about the lake itself. I might move this article to "Canobie Lake Park", and make "Canobie Lake" the redirect. As far as criticism goes, try researching it on the web. --DragonHawk 17:40, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Requested move

The title should be Canobie Lake Park, as that is the proper name of the amusement park. There is a redirect at Canobie Lake Park right now. Suggest swapping the redirect and the current article. Maybe someday we'll have an article about the lake itself. --DragonHawk 17:57, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

That seems reasonable. HGB 00:26, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
I say we do this post haste. I'll get some data ready for the Lake article. --Assawyer 18:58, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
There's no denying that the existing article is about the park, not the lake, so I've gone-ahead and made the move. If anyone wants to add supplemental information about the lake, or create a separate article for it, please do. ×Meegs 20:07, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Merged

I merged in from Yankee Cannonball, which was prodded (justifiably). The resulting text is a little sloppy. YechielMan 01:31, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

The Yankee Cannonball article claims the ride was partially wrecked in 1955; this article claims 1938.

Ride categories

The division into "black diamond"/"blue square"/"green circle" is a little odd; to me, the Yankee Cannonball is a significantly more intense ride than the Canobie Corkscrew. I guess it's a matter of taste. Maybe they should be grouped by height restrictions instead? --Matt McIrvin (talk) 15:17, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

I think that was how the park used to classify the rides. We can't just decide to organize them however we please. I just checked the website and they seem to have them now grouped as "thrill rides", "family rides", etc. If someone wanted to take the time to regroup them in the article that would be great. Sky Ride

Considering I graduated from high school the year that the article currently has the Sky Ride being added, and that I used to ride the Sky Ride routinely every summer as a kid, that year must be wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kentruesdale (talkcontribs) 12:55, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
