Image copyright problem with File:Coat of arms of Canada.svg
editThe image File:Coat of arms of Canada.svg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

World Cup vote
editSince the random IP is insisting on it, despite a reasonable explanation in the edit comment, here's all the reasons why I removed the section on the World Cup 2026 vote.
- It's terribly written with incorrect use of capital letters, simple mistakes in grammar and spelling, terrible syntax, and lacking basic wikilinking.
- It's factually incorrect; the World Cup bid wasn't from Canada. It was a combined bid from Canada, the US, and Mexico.
- It says the KNVB voted for Morocco for political reasons. This is also incorrect, it voted for Morocco for cultural reasons; there's a large Moroccan minority in the Netherlands and many of the national team's players have Moroccan backgrounds.
- Most of the page focuses on political and historical ties. The vote is neither; the KNVB is a private organization and politics were not involved. The vote was not in any way indicative of the relationship between the two countries.
So I've removed it (again), and it should stay removed. DragonFury (talk) 18:35, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
