Sorry for changing it but I felt that Boomers! really has nothing to do with the actual Bullwinkle's Restaurant.

I authored the new article but I don't know how to cite sources. Though I certify that all the information is correct and common knowledge in the Sunnyvale/Santa Clara California community, there is not much printed material regarding the Bullwinkle's Restaurant. Please do not simply delete this article, as I feel that the information contained within it is valuable, but please feel free to improve it and make it more legitimate in terms of Wikipedia. I admit I'm an amateur.

Southern California Locations

edit

I distinctly remember being taken to one of these after going to Disneyland. There's no way I was anywhere other than Southern California.

There was a Bullwinkle's Family Fun Center in Upland,California, until the mid-1990s. It briefly became the Upland Family Fun Center, and then Boomers! Upland. It has four miniature golf courses, batting cages, bumper boats and an arcade room. The former Bullwinkle's restaurant is now the Be-Bop Café, a '50s diner. For more information see http://www.boomersparks.com/park/upland/

There was one in Fountain Valley that is now a Boomer's. Fountain Valley is very near Anaheim and Disneyland. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.217.199.236 (talk) 09:58, 4 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup

edit

This has kind of a limited, Santa Clara-based view. There are locations as far east as Myrtle Beach. I personally don't know how to fix it. --Jnelson09 03:33, 2 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Pictures

edit

There is an article here (well, more of a nostalgic retrospective) that has pictures of the inside of a Bullwinkle's Restaurant: http://www.retrojunk.com/details_articles/1609/ I don't know the copyright status of any of these images, but they are good for informational purposes.

There are 2 bullwinkles restaurants where I live both still in business with themed interiors, did anyone want pictures? I could go by and photograph and upload. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.160.36.40 (talk) 00:51, 12 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Also, the fountains used in the restaurants were apparently designed and manufactured by a company called Aquamation Inc, their website is here: http://www.aquamationinc.com/

Cheers to everyone contributing to this article! 68.127.209.95 (talk) 22:54, 5 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

What should appear in this article?

edit

Should the article (as in this version [1]) start out with a picture of a person, described as an "animatronic collector", and be dominated with unsourced details on the provenance and ownership of some animatronics that were once in the restaurant? Or is the original version [2] better? I've reverted it back to where it was a few days ago, and invite the animatronic-enamoured editor to argue for the changes they want to make. signed, Willondon (talk) 22:02, 27 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Suggestions regarding the animatronic aftermath of Bullwinkles.

edit

In regards to Willondon's concerns about the animatronic aftermath page, here is my suggestion. I feel it's valuable to note the remnants and surviving pieces of the Bullwinkle's restaurant. I am well acquainted with the four people mentioned; SPC_Animatronics, AnimatronicHub, Brer Fox, and Tanner_BedandBreakfast. In addition to the original writing, I would like to grammatically correct it, add some information, and cite some videos and photos to go along with their respective roles in Bullwinkle's history. As well as including media of the salvaged animatronics themselves, I also believe that photos of the collectors themselves could also be useful. In the case in which someone would want to contact them if they so, please. I hope you can review these suggestions with a change in mind.

Thank you, TheMonkeyKing1995

Sure, some information could be useful. Unfortunately, as it stands, it's all sourced to primary sources (Instagram, YouTube). It needs secondary sources. And the picture of an animatronic collecter has no value to the article. It doesn't illustrate anything more than a dude looking into the camera. signed, Willondon (talk) 23:47, 28 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
The "Artwork of an animatronic retrieval group" illustrates something. I don't know the ins and outs of verifying copyright status. Images on Wikipedia pages have to be part of the "Wikipedia:Wikimedia Commons" first. signed, Willondon (talk) 23:50, 28 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
And again, photos of the collectors themselves don't illustrate anything. And Wikipedia doesn't play the role of putting people in touch, or promoting anything. signed, Willondon (talk) 23:53, 28 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Do you have a social media account so we could work this out?BrodiTestaburger (talk) 00

Obviously Photoshopped Image on Page?

edit

Why is there a photoshopped image of WDWNT's Tom Corless with a Bullwinkle animatronic on this page with a fake source? Why has it stayed up this long? Tom Corless said on WDW News Tonight last night that, as it's clear to see, the image is faked and he has no clue why someone would put him there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cmac2173 (talkcontribs) 15:37, 18 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
