editI was unable to find your user page to post my comments, so I'm posting them here. I would like to thank you for the cleanup of the article. Two things concern me, though. Firstly, what makes Bree Walker notable is not only her popularity as a news anchor, but also as an advocate for persons with disabilities. There was, for example, a high profile news story involving the ethics of whether she and her husband should even bear children. In this situation, she not only advocated for others, but also on behalf of herself. This is unusual and notable, since it is usually a person in an advantaged position who advocates for others who are less-advantaged. The second thing that concerns me is the deletion of the reference to the newspaper article that gives the latest news of Ms. Walker's career. I am placing these two items back into the article. Plastic surgery
editI dont understand why someone would allow a comment about a subjects plastic surgery in one of these entries. what the heck does that have to do with anything? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.142.128.181 (talk) 23:31, February 6, 2007 (UTC)
- If you knew who Bree Walker was and you remember her from back when, seeing her now it is clearly apparent that she HAS had cosmetic surgery done. Why is this important? Because it can clearly serve to showcase that of all the things she felt the need to enhance or "restyle" her so-called deformities were not among those changed. It lends to her philosophy of life where she talks about how she is just like anyone else and has insecurities about the "normal things women are insecure about." --HatchetFaceBuick 14:29, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- Excellent point. Having plastic surgery to reduce the effect of her ectrodactyly would have had a devastating effect on her ability to advocate for people with disabilities. A face lift and collagen implants, on the other hand, seem pretty normal IMO. Shapu 16:27, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
