Hi everyone, I will be working on this article for my International Trade class! I plan on making edits regarding the effect of the subsidies on cotton farmers of the immediate countries, the immediate cause and effect of the dispute, and how the dispute is settled. Thanks!

These are some of the articles that I will be drawing my information from: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/monkey-cage/wp/2014/10/12/why-the-deal-to-pay-brazil-300-million-just-to-keep-u-s-cotton-subsidies-is-bad-for-the-wto-poor-countries-and-u-s-taxpayers/ https://www.organicconsumers.org/old_articles/clothes/224subsidies.php http://cip.cornell.edu/DPubS?service=UI&version=1.0&verb=Display&handle=dns.gfs/1200428204 http://www.forbes.com/sites/realspin/2014/10/16/obama-administration-cuts-expensive-deal-with-brazil-over-cotton-subsidies/ http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2014-10-01/u-s-reaches-deal-with-brazil-ending-cotton-trade-dispute http://www.wsj.com/articles/brazil-u-s-cotton-pact-will-reduce-export-subsidy-program-1412188276 http://www.npr.org/blogs/money/2011/01/26/131192182/cotton http://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2013/jun/04/us-farm-bill-reduced-cotton-subsidies http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/2014/10/01/us-and-brazil-resolve-decade-long-trade-fight-over-cotton-subsidies/

I think you've done a great job adding onto this article, you've shed a lot of light onto the topic. I think you address all aspects of the trade conflict adequately I am really impressed with this article. I think you achieved all the goals you set out to meet in this article. I like the settlement section that you put in as to what they did to rectify the situation. Very good job! Jamescz94 — Preceding undated comment added 10:01, 27 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
