Boundless informant screen captures - Der Spiegel
editWe've already seen the heat map. But there are 3 others.
- Germany last 30 days (Dec 10, 2012 to Jan 2 2013) (Spiegel has modified this slide slightly, allowing them to copyright it, a shame, since it's also the most informative)
- daily record of metadata returned by DNI and DNR
- A pie chart entitled "signal profile" the legend is blurred (not blacked out
- A bar graph entitled "most volume" Sigad US-987LA (417,258,854 records) and US-987 LB (81,786,957 records)
- A bar graph entitled "Top five techs"
- XKeyscore 182,009,301 Records
- Lopers 131,473,230 Records As explained in NSA documents, Lopers is a system that allows the agency to spy on telecommunications. It is purely software-based and applicable to traditional telephone networks ("Public Switched Telephone Network").
- Juggernaut: 93,512,592 Records This system picks up signals from mobile networks, including vocal telephone communication, fax, data and text messages.
- Cerf Call Moses1: 39,514,727 Records
- Matrix: 7,977,207 Records
- Italy and Spain, same 30 day period as above (unmodified, copyright should be clear)
- Netherlands and France, same 30 day period as above (unmodified, copyright should be clear)
Legality
editIn the section "Legality and FISA Amendments Act of 2008", the texts do not reference "Boundless Informant" directly, obfuscation the applicability / connection. Also, perhaps there should be a new article on the legality of what Snowden has disclosed, and sections such as this redirected to that? 75.172.15.73 (talk) 19:49, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
- Yes I agree with that. P2Peter (talk) 00:52, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
